SMS Notification Consent
How QuoteCat collects consent for job assignment notifications
QuoteCat sends SMS notifications to field workers on behalf of their employers (contractors). Workers must explicitly opt in before receiving any job notifications.
How Opt-In Works
- Employer adds team member - The contractor adds a worker to their team with the worker's phone number
- Worker receives opt-in SMS - The worker receives a text message asking them to reply YES to confirm consent
- Worker replies YES - Only after the worker confirms do they start receiving job notifications
- Job notifications begin - The worker receives SMS when assigned to new jobs
Opt-In Message
Workers receive the following message before any job notifications are sent:
Example opt-in message as received on a mobile device
Message Types
After opting in, workers may receive:
- Job assignment notifications - When assigned to a new job (includes job title, address, and link to view details)
- Schedule updates - Changes to job timing or details
Message frequency: Varies based on job assignments. Typically 1-5 messages per week during active work periods.
Opt-Out
Workers can stop receiving SMS notifications at any time by:
- Replying STOP to any message from QuoteCat
- Contacting their employer to be removed from the team
- Emailing us at hello@quotecat.ai
After opting out, workers will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS will be sent.
